10-Year Old Gives Birth After Rape

We have a bunch of [censored] sickos in this world.

A 37-year-old man is charged with raping a 10-year-old girl who gave birth last month in Idaho.

"St. Anthony Police said they were notified of the young girl's pregnancy by medical personnel after she went in for treatment at a doctor's office," KIFI-TV reports on its website.

One day later, the ABC affiliate says the young mother delivered a 6-pound girl at Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg, Idaho.

KIDK-TV says Guadalupe Gutierrez-Juarez, a suspected illegal immigrant, is being held at the Fremont County Jail. He's due in court next week to face rape charges.

"I wouldn't have believed a 10-year-old could conceive in the first place," Fremont County Sheriff Ralph Davis tells the Associated Press.

The CBS affiliate has more on the local reaction.

Update at 2:54 p.m. ET: Thanks to reader Aaron T. for sending us a copy of the Post Register story, which says investigators are still trying to determine the suspect's immigration status.

"A hospital spokesman would not discuss the condition of the girl or the baby and would not say if either was still in the hospital," the paper says.

Sending him back home is not a right punishment IMO. He would be getting off way to easy. I would like to see the US courts try him and convict him. Also punish him for being in the US illegal also. To let this man just walk either way by going back home to his country or the US just slapping him on the wrist would be an outrage. He will do this again and again. Cut his oversexed jewels off and shove it down his throat. If that was the punishment for rape then there would be alot of men losing their beloved parts, and they would never be able to satisfy their sick hearts again by raping innocent people.
But then again it is not right for the US taxpayers to keep paying for these criminals. Capital punishment could take care of alot of these criminals if it was enforced more often instead of years and years of appeals.
This man is a sorry excuse for a human being breathing air. There would probably be alot of parents not give him the chance to leave this country alive or let the US courts try and convict his sorry butt, if this were their daughter. I am shocked that he was even caught to begin with. Just don't understand how this situation could have happened in the first place. Why this little girl didn't even tell her parents when it happened.

It is really sad to see a 10yr.old little girl giving birth. She will need her parents to take over and raise her child. Sad world that we are living in.
